    Childcare Information - Resource Development Center

    A single point of access for parents, child care providers and communities to assist with child care needs in Hancock and Washington Counties.

    Provides veterans and transitioning service members with the resources and services to succeed in the 21st century workforce.

    Federal Bonding Program

    Provides Fidelity Bonds that guarantee honesty for “at-risk”, hard-to-place job seekers. The bonds cover the first six months of employment. There is no cost to the job applicant or the employer.

    Keeping Maines Children Connected

    An integrated approach to help children and youth who experience school disruption due to: Homelessness, Foster Care Placement, Correctional Facility Placement, and/or In-Patient Psychiatric Care.

    Local Area 1 Workforce Investment Board

    A statutorily derived body, comprised of representatives of business, labor, public and non-profits organizations. It is charged with setting workforce development policy for its local area. This policy is effectuated through staff at the CareerCenters.

    Maine Small Business Development Center

    Provides comprehensive business management assistance, training, resource and information services to Maine's micro, small, and technology-based business communities.

    Maine's North Star Alliance Initiative

    An industry focused economic development initiative devised to drive business and create jobs in coastal Maine. The initiative includes business, R&D, education, and workforce development centered on Maine's boatbuilding, marine, and composite industries.
