- Career Transitions: Health Care Edition
Lewiston Adult Education is launching a new program for
individuals looking to enter or advance a career in health
care by earning a college degree. To help fill the need for
qualified health professionals, this 14-week Career
Transitions program will help employees currently working
in entry-level health care positions as well as those
looking to move into the health care field prepare for
a college degree program in health sciences. This no cost
program will allow participants to continue working as they
participate in an academic refresher course, conduct
intensive career advising, and take advantage of extensive
mentoring and support services.
The Career Transitions: Health Care Edition program was
initiated in response to the current labor market
projections which anticipate substantial growth in the
health care field. It is our goal to help adults transition
in to a college program and subsequent career in health
care so the demand for qualified heath care professionals
will be met.
