Become an Expert at Navigating Local Resources and State Benefit Systems in Four 2-Hour Virtual Sessions About this event You will be eligible for this workshop series if you meet all 3 requirements below and complete a short enrollment with a Disaster Relief Worker prior to the start date: You are a resident of either York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, or Waldo counties. You are currently receiving or have exhausted your unemployment, or have been unemployed for 27 weeks in the past 12 months. You are work authorized and are over 18. Workforce Solutions Disaster Relief Workers will guide you through the various local resources and complex statewide benefits systems to provide you with thorough knowledge that you can apply personally or with friends and family struggling to make ends meet. Attendees will be assigned a Disaster Relief Worker who will support you outside of the program to help you with your individualized needs. Upon signing up, you will be contacted by a Disaster Relief Worker that will enroll you in the program prior to our first session. After completing this series, attendees will have full knowledge of the following programs: All DHHS Programming State Housing vouchers, Foreclosure and Eviction Prevention, Statewide Subsidized Housing Free Education and Career Programs, Financial and Digital Literacy Free Medical and Mental Health Programs Programs to Support Basic Needs All sessions are on zoom.
